ABOUT OUR Group
The Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center and its Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (CROM-MASS) at the Universidad Industrial de Santander are specialized facilities for instrumental chemical analysis, providing services to the environmental, agro-industrial, petrochemical, forensic, and natural products sectors. The center is supported by highly qualified personnel, state-of-the-art technology, and extensive expertise in chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques. Its quality management system is certified under ISO 9001:2015, and it offers testing services accredited by ONAC and recognized by IDEAM, ensuring reliable results for research, industry, and public institutions.

RESEARCH Lines
Environmental Analysis
We provide analytical solutions for the identification and quantification of environmental compounds of interest in a wide range of matrices. Our analytical services support environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, research, and decision-making in environmental projects.
Food Analysis
We provide analytical services for the determination of residues, contaminants, and other compounds of interest in food products and raw materials. Our services support quality control, regulatory compliance, and access to national and international markets.
Forensic Analysis
We provide analytical capabilities for the identification and determination of chemical substances of forensic interest, offering specialized technical support for investigative activities and the generation of scientific evidence.
Petrochemical Analysis
We provide specialized analytical services for the characterization of hydrocarbons, fuels, oils, and other petroleum-derived products. Our services contribute to quality control, process optimization, and product evaluation in the energy and industrial sectors.
Natural Products Analysis
We support research, development, and innovation projects through the chemical characterization of extracts, essential oils, metabolites, and other naturally derived compounds, generating reliable information for the utilization and valorization of natural resources.
