Sagrado y Profano – Research Group on Religion and Society

Sagrado y Profano is a research group that brings together scholars from various disciplines who specialize in the in-depth study of religion in Colombia and Latin America, several of whom are widely recognized for their distinguished contributions to the field.

The group conducts scientific research and disseminates its findings through a variety of channels to academic audiences, the general public, religious communities, and government institutions. It is also committed to training the next generation of researchers through student research groups and the supervision of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses. Working from an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective, the group promotes interreligious dialogue as well as collaboration between academia and religious organizations.
